Ticarcillin sodium and clavulanate potassium for injection is indicated for the treatment of various bacterial infections. The main indications are as follows: Severe infections: sepsis, bacteremia, peritonitis, intra-abdominal sepsis, special populations (following Infections due to suppressed or compromised immune system), postoperative infections, bone and joint infections, skin and soft tissue infections, respiratory infections, severe or complicated urinary tract infections (eg, pyelonephritis), ear, nose and throat infections. This product has a synergistic effect when combined with aminoglycoside antibiotics in the treatment of various infections (including Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection), especially in the treatment of critical infections and infections in patients with weakened immune systems. When this product is used in combination with aminoglycoside antibiotics, the two drugs should be administered separately.
