This product is suitable for sensitive bacteria caused by:
1. Genitourinary system infections, including simple and complex urinary tract infections, bacterial prostatitis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae urethritis or cervicitis (including those caused by enzyme producing strains). Because serious adverse reactions with fluoroquinolones, including ciprofloxacin hydrochloride, have been reported and, in some patients, simple urinary tract infections are self-limiting, ciprofloxacin hydrochloride tablets should be used in the absence of other medications.
2. Respiratory infections, including acute episodes of bronchial infection and lung infection caused by sensitive gram-negative bacilli. Because serious adverse reactions have been reported with fluoroquinolones, including ciprofloxacin hydrochloride, and because, in some patients, acute episodes of chronic bronchitis are self-limiting, ciprofloxacin hydrochloride should be used in the absence of other medications.
3. Gastrointestinal infection caused by Shigella, Salmonella, enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli, aeromonas hydrophila, Vibrio parahaemolyticus, etc.
4. Typhoid fever.
5. Bone and joint infections.
6. Skin and soft tissue infection.
7, sepsis and other systemic infections.
