Product Description

Ceftazidime is a semi-synthetic third-generation cephalosporin. Similar to other third-generation cephalosporins, it has a broad response against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. The difference is that it is effective against Pseudomonas aeruginosa, but less resistant to Gram-positive bacteria, so it will not be used for this infection.

Ceftazidime has good stability to β-lactamase, and the probability of resistance to β-lactamase is low under rational clinical use. Positive and negative bacteria and anaerobic strains have strong bactericidal effects, and are highly effective against Pseudomonas aeruginosa. They are the only cephalosporins that can replace aminoglycosides, so some people call them fourth-generation cephalosporins. Clinically used for serious infections caused by sensitive bacteria (such as sepsis, meningitis, bacteremia, etc.), respiratory tract infections (such as pneumonia, bronchitis, etc.), ENT infections, skin and soft tissue infections, urinary system infections, gastrointestinal infections , gallbladder and abdominal infections, bone and joint infections, etc.
